Mr. Wieland Lüders, ISU Event Manager and Ms. Julia Degenhardt, ISU Event Manager Assistant along with Mr. András Sallay, IMG Vice President visited Taipei during June 24th to June 27th for the Inspection Visit of 2024 ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships. Mr. Tiao-Chin Hung, President of Chinese Taipei Skating Union (CTSU) and Organizing Committee (OC) accompanied by Mrs. Lung-Hsien Wu, OC Executive Officer, Ms. Tzu-Yu Huang, OC Championship Secretary and Ms. Jane You-Jhen Chen, OC International Relations welcomed the delegation and showed great appreciation for their visit. President Hung also committed to ISU representatives to host the championship according to ISU regulations and promote the skating sports at the same time.

The Site Inspection Visit lasted for 3 days. ISU introduced and explained the ISU Memorandum and other related regulations to the OC. The OC also explained and reported regarding the OC structure, Main and Practice Rink, Reception, Media, TV related items and medical service etc… to the Inspection Team. During the Visit, both parties discussed the possibilities of the arrangements of the Main rink and Practice rink. They both had a deeper understanding for the current situation. On the last day of the visit, ISU, IMG, and the OC representatives signed various protocols for the event, ISU also gave valuable suggestions to the upcoming championships. Mr. Wieland Lüders, ISU Event Manager also expressed his gratitude to the event organizing committee for their full preparations and recognized their efforts at this period.

Since Taipei has been confirmed to be the host city of 2024 ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships in July 2022, the OC had actively promoted various preparations for the event. In the future, OC will continue executing various tasks for the event to let Taipei be seen again by the world in 2024.
